Utilising Twitter Advanced Queries to Obtain Data that is in the past

I was wondering is it possible to utilise the API, particularly the query component to archive information beyond the typical 7 day period, ie. I am interested in looking at information between the 7th of july and 2nd of august last year. By using the query component would it draw that information out?
Thanks in AdvanceUnfortunately not. This is a limitation of the Twitter service. Twitter says:
The Search API is not complete index of all Tweets, but instead an index of recent Tweets. At the moment that index includes between 6-9 days of Tweets.
