Hi
Please can you help?
I have used TAGS V 6.1.6 with awesome-tables in new google sites.
Twitter feed is showing but the photos in the feed are not there?
What have I not done? totally lost I am a newbie in all this please can someone help.
Also the cards and links to https://view-awesome-table.com/-KsOyE0e6JZEm6XoUsPh/%7B this is an error page? Why is it linking to any page?August 31, 2017 at 10:00 am #1018mhawkseyKeymasterHi,
From the data returned by Twitter the tweet text only includes a shortened link to the image. Image data is returned from Twitter but isn’t straight forward to get to. Currently TAGS default is to store all this data in the entities_str column. Some guidance on how you can extract this is in this thread https://tags.hawksey.info/forums/topic/displaying-embedded-images/ .
If you get this working please share as I’m sure others will be interested in how it is done 🙂

I am not sure where to copy and paste the formulas! Are they to go in archive or archive 2? or where. I tried putting the formula into column Q line 2 but when I looked at the view in TAGS it was incomprehensible and didn’t look like a twitter feed any longer. So I put it back to the way it was! Your help in very very simple terms would be very much appreciated. Thanks

September 3, 2017 at 9:56 pm #1023purpledoodleParticipantHi
I followed the youtube instructions from Ben Wilkoff ‘How to add a twitter stream to new google sites’. I am a primary teacher who has been asked by my boss to create a school website with a twitter feed included. As new google sites no longer have widgets I have been finding it difficult to do. I know the cards show an error but I have no idea what to do about it. Any help would be brilliant.September 6, 2017 at 10:47 pm #1027purpledoodleParticipantHi
I am back to the drawing board. I have worked through your youtube instructions and have the TAGS EXPLORER archive which is perfect just what I want in my new google sites.
However when I try to embed it I can only add a url? I would like the archive table as it looks in TAGS EXPLORER.
Is there any way to do this. As you saw from above it only linked to an error page and didn’t link to the pictures whereas your explorer archive goes directly to the photos just what I’m looking for.
Have you any suggestions please?
JayneSeptember 14, 2017 at 9:53 am #1031mhawkseyKeymasterAs Google now let you embed urls in new sites this is a lot easier. For the archive table there is a dedicated url you can use. The easiest way to get it is in your TAGS archive readme/setting sheet click the TAGS Archive link at the bottom of the sheet which should open a url similar to this https://hawksey.info/tagsexplorer/arc.html?key=1PB89jVOepOMxrgXJXDsCp6kOi6ai3wT3kJaDkr2CBv8&gid=400689247
You can then use the Embed URL option in Google Sites to include this in your site
