Limit to users I follow

Is there any way to perform a search limited to users I follow?

Bonus question: Is there a way to use AND/OR queries so that parts of the query are “grouped” for calculation? I.e. “(programming AND dumb) OR (programming AND stupid)”. Searching for “programming AND dumb OR stupid” won’t cut it, I’m guessing.

As far as I’m aware the search api can’t be limited to the people you follow.

There are some operators you can use but you are limited on complexity https://dev.twitter.com/rest/public/search

Yes, I reached the same conclusion once I realized the query is really a Twitter search query. Grouping seems impossible for the same reason.
