Hi there – I’ve never used Twitter’s API before, so I’m sure I’m just missing something fundamental and simple, but when I try to run the tool, I get this message:

returned code 401. Truncated server response: {“errors”:[{“message”:”Could not authenticate you”,”code”:32}]} (use muteHttpExceptions option to examine full response)

hi – which step do you get this message. Is it after you enter your twitter key/secret but before you are given a button to sign in with twitter?

It’s when I click on the button to update and run the search — in Twitter, the app is listed as authorized, and I’ve entered the key/secret key (assuming I did so correctly).

Again, I’m fairly confident I’ve missed something fundamental and simple… Just no idea what it is.

Usually in your twitter application setting the Callback URL (which is not a required field) as well as a webiste url catches people out but I thought the error message was different for this. Worth checking though
