tag checker in debug mode?

Hi,

Did the checking for proper closing of enclosing tags (in debug mode or else) already exist pre 4.7? i am asking, because for one i enjoy it, but as well i wonder, if certain plugins get confused by this.Since i updated to 4.7 my smd_tags installation (0.60) essentially doesn’t work anymore. The tag checker works on the smd_tags tags, but only, when the plugin has been turned off. When the plugin is turned on, the tag landing page shows the error_default page form instead of the tag_results page form.I am trying to locate the source of that error, assuming, that it could be cause by the tag checker.

Please help.
