Hi Sanjana,
Thanks for confirming and the screenshots. I’ve tried to replicate on a couple of @gmail.com accounts but didn’t encounter the screen that stopped you. Do you have another @gmail.com account you can test with?
April 20, 2020 at 9:32 am #1350mhawkseyKeymasterHi – Can you confirm you are using TAGS v6.1.9.1 (displayed at the top of the readme/settings page. Are you also using a @gmail.com account?
June 19, 2019 at 7:42 pm #1346mhawkseyKeymasterPlanned but don’t hold your breath … in the meantime you might want to check the list of tools published here https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/impactofsocialsciences/2019/06/18/using-twitter-as-a-data-source-an-overview-of-social-media-research-tools-2019/
April 30, 2019 at 5:23 pm #1322mhawkseyKeymasterHi – each TAGS spreadsheet includes some custom direct links to the visualisation on TAGSExplorer e.g. https://hawksey.info/tagsexplorer/?key=1YJ5OzkeNo53FXRfAL3YZjRC5bnvQouN2cTgtY7sS09E&gid=400689247&name=pressedconf
If the link above works for you but the link from your own TAGS spreadsheet doesn’t the most likely cause is the sheet hasn’t been shared so everyone had view access
(There is a general Google Sheets issue currently open but this shouldn’t affect direct links to a TAGSExplorer archive https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/131613284)
February 18, 2019 at 6:57 am #1318mhawkseyKeymasterHi – I get a similar error message of I try and open a downloaded excel version with Windows but the file usually opens as an .xlsx after the repair. Google also provide a .CSV export option, have you tried opening that instead?
February 8, 2019 at 2:30 pm #1315mhawkseyKeymasterHi – you might still want to change the ‘period’ setting to:default’ (with -7 days the script only fetches tweets that are posted 7 days ago – this setting is provided if you want to capture more accurate like/RT counts)
December 18, 2018 at 8:58 pm #1310mhawkseyKeymasterAre you using the latest version of TAGS?

favourite_count
andretweet_count
(no ‘s’ at the end)October 4, 2018 at 9:10 am #1286mhawkseyKeymasterHi – Twitter do warn in their documentation that complicated search terms might not yield results but your search seems straight forward. I tried your search on the Twitter website and also got no results https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=default&q=from%3ACNN%20AND%20%23opioidcrisis&src=typd
October 2, 2018 at 7:22 pm #1284mhawkseyKeymasterHi Nestor – hmm either I misdiagnosed or the data is back in the search results. If you add columns with the names
favourite_count
andretweet_count
in the Archive sheet when the script runs data will be populated in these columns. Thanks for the prod 🙂September 17, 2018 at 8:32 pm #1281mhawkseyKeymasterGlad you got it sorted 🙂
September 17, 2018 at 8:30 pm #1280mhawkseyKeymasterGood to know – thanks
